Where the downtime usually starts
Any one of these is worth a phone call. Most of them are quicker and cheaper to fix before something else fails with them.
- Truck will not crank first thing in the morning
- Batteries flat again after a weekend
- Alternator not charging under load
- Beacons, work lights or reversing alarms not working
- Intermittent fault that nobody has been able to find
- Trailer lighting and plug faults
- Machine electrical fault stopping work on site
- A repair needed today, not next week
Mobile service
The machine stays on site
Moving a truck or a machine to a workshop costs more than the repair does. We work on it where it is standing.
Have this ready when you call
- What the truck or machine is
- What has stopped working, and how long for
- Whether it will start and move at all
- Site address and any access or induction requirements

What we do about it
Diagnosis first, always. Replacing parts until the fault goes away is somebody else's method.

Starter motors, alternators, heavy cable, earths, isolators and battery banks.
-
Lighting

-
Electrical faults
Intermittent faults, damaged looms, corroded plugs and previous repairs traced and fixed.
-

Switches, relays, solenoids, gauges, senders and accessory circuits.
-

Common questions
Asked before
you call
How soon can you get to me?
Call and you will get an answer straight away. If you send the form instead, we will usually come back to you within a couple of hours during the working day. When we can be there depends on where the vehicle is and what is already booked, so ring and we will tell you the first time we have.
Do I have to bring the vehicle to a workshop?
No. That is the point of the business. We come to your home, your work, the roadside, a yard or wherever the vehicle, boat, van or machine is sitting, and do the work there.
Can you fix it on the spot, or is it two visits?
Most common faults are diagnosed and repaired in the one visit. If a part has to be ordered in we will tell you that on the day, along with what it costs and when we can be back.
